Here are some of 10 popular Disney College Program memes, that are usually posted in the Facebook groups to help pass the time and make light of the situation.
1. Power to the Penders - For those who are waiting to hear back from Disney. Those pended could be accepted ANY DAY including the very last day, which is November 15th, 2013.
2. Disney College Program waiting game... - This usually relates to everyone still in the process, whether it be the phone interview, pending, or the Web Based Interview (WBI).
3.After the first month of the application process, they begin sending out purple postcards to your home. This increases everyone's excitement and peoples usually stress about not getting them in the mail. Although, Disney Recruiting has stated that not everyone will receive a purple acceptance postcard in the mail. Those that receive the postcards begin posting them on Facebook, so you'll see them frequently.
4. This what everyone in the program wishes would happen!! Why can't this be reality. *paging Oprah*
5. This is quite accurate and a just a good laugh.
6. I'm assuming this describes the chaos or problems that "may creep up" on the day of your phone interview.
7. This describes a way to pass the time while waiting on your DCP results. It also describes how DCPers bond during the waiting process.
8. This can be very true for those that join the Facebook groups early in the application season and then become NLIC (No Longer In Consideration). You get to meet such wonderful people and won't be able to meet then in real life.
9. This describes the happiness we feel when Monday arrives, since Disney Recruiting never sent out acceptances on Weekends.
10. This describes the mentality of most accepted participants. You have put all your priorities aside or left a solid job to work at Disney for minimum wage. Yeah, it's crazy but so worth it!!!
Very nice post.
