DCP Tidbits: January 2nd, 2014

About: This is my new Disney College Program tidbits post. I will basically post tidbits from the Facebook group, my personal experience in the program, things I notice, and anything I find around the internet about the program for 2014.

CLUBHOUSES at the complexes provide computer and printers for college program participants. The
computers can be used free for 30 to 45 minutes. Printers are available, however, it is unclear if their is a fee. Although, some alumni have claimed the printers are free to use. Other free rentals include vacuums, brooms, and possibly mops. You will need to give them your ID and their is a time of limit of one hour.

PARTICIPANTS are afraid to stream or download "free media" on their devices for fear of termination. I will cover this more in the Grey Topics.

BEDS in the complexes are Twin size but can also fit a Twin XL. Alumni encourage participants to purchase a mattress pad for extra comfort because the beds are know to be extra hard.

ROOMS in your apartment are equipped with a shower curtain liner but no actual curtain. Tissues, soap, cleaning products, and personal items are not available in the rooms. You must provide these yourself. As for lights, they are to be replace by housing. You must provide trash bags for the garbage can.

JAN 8th arrival have gotten their "Final Reminder" email before they arrive next week (usually 7 days out). I'm sure the Facebook page will blow up with excitement and updates from participants check-in or waiting in line.

CLASS registration will end on January 5th, but many classes have already been filled. Explore Marketing, Explore Guest Services, Disney Heritage, and Exploring Environmentality & Sustainability are at capacity and now have wait list. Many of the collegiate courses are still open for registration.
